Manaslu haș opened for autumn season with American climber Chris Warner making 14 peaks record.

Chinese climbers top the list with 96 permits, followed by 87 Americans. 2023 marks the first time when American climbers are second in number.

Paragliding from Everest has always been controversial as Nepali authorities maintain that a permit is required for gliding off of it although Nepal has not taken any action against a single person who flew from Everest so far.

Kristin Harila will climb Cho Oyu and Shishapangma twice – to complete the achievement of climbing the 14 highest peaks twice, a feat only Sanu Sherpa has achieved. She also wants to summit all 14 peaks above 8,000m in a record time without using bottled oxygen.

Manaslu sees its second successful winter summit with seven climbers making it to its top this winter.
