Kristin climbed four 8,000ers in 24 days, which is five days earlier than the fastest climb record set by Nirmal Purja. Purja had climbed the four peaks in 29 days.

The 21-year-old mountaineer is hoping to become the youngest person to reach all 14 summits above 8000m. The record is held by Mingma Gyabu Sherpa, who summited 14 8000ers at the age of 30 years.
Kristin Harila sets two world records in a single day
Kristin on Sunday stood atop the world highest peak at 8.30 am. On the same day, she reached the summit of the fourth highest peak at 5.50 pm, becoming the first climber to summit five peaks above 8,000 meters in 24 days.
