First Slovak and Kazakh women summit Everest

Kazakh woman Anar Burasheva and Slovak climber Lucia Janicova have become the first women from Kazakhstan and Slovakia, respectively, to reach the summit of Mount Everest

Lucia Janicova has become the first Slovak woman to summit Mount Everest. She reached the summit on Sunday and safely returned to the base camp, according to base camp official of the Department of Tourism.

Janicova was part of a 15-member paying climber team of the Seven Summit Treks expedition. The team included Lester Baker Perry, a US climber and climate scientist, along with Jose Carlos Mostajo De Los Heros, Daniel Vargas Calvo, Sarah Abdovais, Seyedhamidreza Hashemi, Michael Andrew Arnstein, Pawel Gwardys, Afshin Asgharzadehledari, Benito Tompot, Mahdi Norouzi, Dora Argentina Raudales Vargas, Atousa Manavi, and Behrouz Shahriari.

Meanwhile, Kazakh skyrunner athlete Anar Burasheva achieved the milestone of being the first Kazakh woman to reach Mount Everest. She also summited the the world’s highest peak on Sunday.

Burasheva is part of a 15-member Seven Summit Treks team led by Chinese climber Yinlong Li. Jordan Yogendra Chhetri, a British national of Nepali origin, has made history as the first cancer survivor to summit Mount Everest. Chhetri was also with Seven Summit Treks. As of Monday, at least 40 climbers from the Seven Summit Treks have summited Mount Everest.

At least six summit Nuptse

At least six climbers from the Himalayan Guides/Madison Mountaineering successfully scaled Mt Nuptse in the Everest region last evening, according to Iswari Paudel of Himalayan Guides.

The team reached the summit at 6:45 pm on Saturday, becoming the season's first to climb the 7,855-meter mountain. The team leader, Casey Lloyd Diener from the USA, and Claudioc Javier Beiza from Argentina, along with Mingmar Sherpa, Kamdorji Sherpa, Dawa Tenjin Sherpa, and Chheten Dorje Sherpa, achieved the summit.

The team is part of a 12-member group, which includes climbers from various countries such as Garrett Christian Madison (US), Shamin Umesh Asaikar (India), Roi Negri (Israel), Robert Lund Mc Auliffe (US), Benoit Emmanuel Marzouvanlia (France), Song Yujiang (China), Bartlomiej Krzystof Dobroch (Poland), Basile Augustin Monnot (France), Uttam Singh (India), and Tyler Daniel Shearburn (US), as per the Department of Tourism.
